Orange-crowned Warbler - Oreothlypis celata - juvenile

One of the crop of young songbirds in the yard this summer of 2017. There are three subspecies of O. celata across North America and the one breeding in central BC is O. c. orestra which is intermediate in coloration between the yellower west coast O.c. lutescens and the grayer boreal O. c. celata. This one is old enough to forage on its own now. July 31, 2017.
