Using the NGDC/NOAA government, satelite generated topography maps, merging two of them into one composite, and manipulating their colors in Photoshop, I arrived at the above beautiful rendition of Mexico and the Gulf.

Not that I am asking anyone to believe, but there are visible laser-beam, human-made roads in what are now the ocean floors. These areas in dark green show major human habitat features, probably in the 10 to 100,000 years ago time frame, that is my amateur, non-scientific opinion.
