Zapatería Panamá. Creating a focus.
This little shack is the only reminder of a whole block filled with small businesses which where demolished for lack of hygene (sic!). My suspicion is that the barrio was not 'chique' enough and had to make way for somehing similar to the 'wonderful new, clean and modern' skyskraper in the background.
Only one owner insisted on keeping his 4m2 shop. I was there early in the morning, so it was still closed and I couldn't sketch the owner or the inside of the shack. Maybe I try again next week.
