Montgolfières

I love that word!! "Montgolfières" means "Hot Air Balloon" in French. Unlike in English, the French use the word of the inventors, brothers Joseph-Michel Montgolfier and Jacques-Étienne Montgolfier. This weekend is the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival. Unfortunately, weather did not permit any of the balloons to take off this evening. Perhaps tomorrow:)

What a summer we have had! We had a young man from France with us from May until the end of August and during July we hosted two Japanese exchange students as well. It's been a busy house, with activities each weekend. I have emails to reply to, comments to acknowledge and streams to catch up on. It will take a while. Best wishes everyone!
