Whitebait with Sesame Oil and Soy Sauce Dressing

Whitebait with Sesame Oil and Soy Sauce Dressing

Looked quite scary before I marinated it in sesame oil and soy sauce.

I wish I had some tobiko, because that's what an inspired Japanese sushi chef did!

Looked quite scary before I marinated/poached/cooked them! At least the results weren't bad. Not very tasty, but not totally tasteless either.

The Wikipedia describes whitebait as slimy, translucent worms, which I won't disagree :)

- Whitebait Omelette

- Whitebait with Sesame Oil and Soy Sauce Dressing

- Poached Whitebait with Sesame Oil and Vinegar Dressing

Inspired by the Whitebait with Tobiko and Shiso that I had in Kamakura, Japan!
