Chicken Paella close-up - Colmao Flamenco

Chicken Paella - Colmao Flamenco AUD 33 for two.

 

The chicken paella was quite good, marred slightly by the overly al dente rice. There wasn't much socarrat, the prized caramelised crust at the bottom either. I liked the fragrant sofrito flavour base that was full of sweet ripe capsicums!

 

The seafood paella was tastier and richer with the seafood, but the sofrito flavour was less obvious.
