White Chocolate Mousse and Sour Cherry Cake - close-up - La Tropezienne - photo by Julia

Mum got a scrumption cake from La Tropezienne!

The dreamy white chocolate mousse on the outside had a hint of lemon which perfectly complemented the lemon sponge inside. Between the layers of sponge were juicy sour cherries. This cake was definitely a work of art!

All the classics are there, from eclairs to mini fruit tarts, but make sure you try the sumptuous caramelised mille feuille - a delicate, sweet and flaky custard slice. Dreamy.

Mistral Named after the wind, this divine concoction of rum-syrup-soaked chocolate sponge, layered with praline biscuit and topped with chocolate mousse, is the bestseller here. La Tropezienne

while the chocolate was a pleasant ganache and the orange caramel was strongly flavoured, the raspberry was an underflavoured buttercream
