Braised Pork Belly with house made beans, onion marmalade - Auction Rooms Cafe AUD15.50
Having read about brains for breakfast in The Breakfast Blog review of Auction Rooms, I was a little disappointed not to see them on the menu. So I went for the next best thing, Belly Pork.
Again disappointment. The crackling wasn't crisp enough, and there was too much fat left in. Don't get me wrong, I do like the occasional seam of fat, but I don't need a geyser of oil with ever mouthful.
At least I can talk about having had a wickedly unhealthy breakfast though :P

As Matt Preston puts it, the decor is très Dumpster-chic! Good atmosphere too, but pity the food and coffee weren't anything to write home about.
