Lamb with capsicum and olives - Journal Canteen AUD20 main
Julia had the lamb with capsicum and olives. This simple description doesn't do the dish justice with it's wonderfully rich lamb flavour with several seams of tendon cooked to gelatinous goop which kept the meat moist. I asked the waitress if it was lamb shoulder and she nodded in the affirmative.
Why can't all lamb be this good!
This lamb reminded us of the wet roasted kid goat at Yarck Tea Rooms, another flavoursome, simple Italian roast.

Simple, no-fuss Italian food highlighting the seasonal produce in a buzzy room perched above the Council of Adult Education and Melbourne City Library.
