Peking Duck pancake - Tea Garden AUD30 for 6
The 北京烤鸭 Peking Duck pancakes were not too bad, apart from the exorbitant price of 6 wraps for AUD30! For that, you get a chunk or duck breast wrapped in a thin, almost flaky crepe, with a baton of cucumber, several shreds of sping onion, and a big dollop of 甜面酱 Sweet Soybean Sauce. The ideal Peking duck is supposed to be almost equals parts crisp duck skin, thin layer of fat and meat. The rest of the duck meat is usually shredded for a stir-fry with beansprouts, and the bones made into a soup. I did ask the waiter if they could do that and was met with an apologetic answer that they use a duck breast, rather than the whole duck. Still, it was worth a try.

Part of the 红茶馆 Tea Garden group of restaurants. Good, delicate Chinese food, served in the entree, main, dessert Western-style which isn't really meant for sharing.
The promise of daily Yum Cha sessions is however, quite enticing.
