Roast Pork Cutlet, Cabbage Roll - Majors Lane AUD36
Not being able to go past a good slab of pork, I got the Cider vinegar and sea salt roasted pork cutlet, braised pork shoulder and cabbage rolls and cinnamon spiced apples. What, no crackling? ah well. The pork wasn't bad, I was expecting a gelatinous braised pork shoulder that would be a good contrast to the crackling. What I did get was a huge cabbage roll, a good 7 or 8cm in diameter, filled with a mixture of mostly rice and some shredded meat. And the cinnamon spiced apples, well, suffice to say, the pork lacked the punch to handle the sweet apples.

Good food but a little restraint would make it even better!
The dinner really was quite good overall, marred by putting too many things in the dishes which didn't necessarily fit. It's obvious that our tastebuds tend to favour more straightforward dishes untainted by colourful menu descriptions and fancy fusion of flavours.
