Single Origin Roasters coffee + Menu blackboard- Sonoma Bakery

Single Origin Roasters

"Grenade Blend"

A combination of Columbian, Ethiopian, El Salvador & Indian peaberry.

Rich chocolate bodied with medium acidity, sweet and spicy aromatics & smooth, long finish.

A cosy little cafe in Glebe like Sonoma reminds me of the cafes in Melbourne. It just seems warm and friendly and full of customers whom the counter-staff greet by name!

It was also the closest I have ever come to a New York Reuben Sandwich. Yum! The combination of salty flavours on a good sourdough was good, and then I enjoyed the second half of the sandwich individually, first, the rich savoury corned beef, then the fully ripe sauerkraut, and finally, the stinky gruyure with dijon and aioli on the sourdough.

Julia was very happy with her almond croissant with a luscious seam of almond paste oozing almond flavour.

While my caffe latte was fine, Julia's decaf-soy latte was a bit on heavy on the acidity.

Reviews:

- Sonoma Bakery Cafe - Mietta's

- Sonoma Bakery Cafe - TimeOut Sydney The Sonoma cafes are the tip of the iceberg where this bakery is concerned - it’s the bread of choice in some of Sydney’s finest restaurants including Tetsuya’s and Aria. Perfect simply toasted with butter.

- Sonoma Bakery Cafe - Sydney Weekender this is a labour of love. From ‘go’ to ‘dough’ to ‘wo’ it takes about 40 hours to make a loaf of sourdough. That must be why it tastes so good.
