Tapioca Sago Layer Kuih recipe

蒸木薯沙谷糕 Tapioca Sago Layer Cake

Smooth and chewy sago pearl layers wrapped around a dense layer of grated tapioca, flavoured with coconut milk.

Yum!

 

The recipe called for each slice to be rolled in grated coconut, but we decided we liked it better without! Somehow the grated coconut detracted from the smoothness of the sago.

 

This recipe is even gluten free!
