Salted-fish and Chicken fried Rice - Hakka Teahouse, Glen Waverley AUD9 lunch special

Cantonese renditions of Hakka food, and not that well executed either.

The so-called 盐炬鸡 salt-baked chicken wasn't too bad. The chicken was smooth and briny, but lacking chicken flavour, even thought they claim it is a free-range chook.

The 鱼旦汤河粉 fish ball with hor fun noodle soup is passable, but nothing fancy. The fish balls were factory variety, definitely not made in-house, although the fish cakes weren't bad.

The 咸鱼鸡粒炒饭 salted-fish and chicken fried rice was ok, but none of the so-called "wok-breath" from fiery woks.
