Hiyashi Ankake Udon - Summer Special - Kenzan GPO AUD12
A nice hot day to enjoy a cold noodle dish at Kenzan GPO. We had never heard of the Hiyashi Ankake Udon, so we though we'd give it a go. As it turns out, the soup was a silky thickened cold broth with strands of egg chiffon. It was filled with smooth and slippery udon that were delightfully chewy! Delicious! There was also the textural contrasts with the crunchy tempura batter, extra flavours from the grated daikon and ginger, and tender kombu and inari beancurd skin.
