左宫鸡 Minister Chicken - Ants Bistro

Good food, but more catered to Aussie tastebuds. It seems less refined than it used to be. Even Danielle remarked that the 龙眼包 Dragon Buns had changed. They used to be steamed buns filled with moist shredded pork. Now, they're dry and quite tasteless.

 

The standout was the 左宫鸡 Minister Chicken with battered chicken ribs tossed in a sweet, sour and spicy sauce with a sprinkling of whole fried dried chillis.

Update 2009.12.11: I'm wondering if this is actually 左宗棠雞 General Tso's Chicken... with the "general" upgraded to "minister".
