Specials - Pacific Seafood BBQ House

Having heard a lot about 太平洋海鲜烧腊店 Pacific Seafood BBQ House in Richmond, we decided to drop in for brunch after being tempted by the roast ducks in the window. We weren't disappointed.

 

The 烧鸭 roast ducks were flavoursome and tender, with a nice hint of gameyness typical of duck. The 油鸡 soy braised chicken was also moist and tender, but the braising stock still can't beat Niko Niko's soy chicken.

 

What surprised us was that at 11am, so meny people were queueing to get takeaway orders of roast duck. At the peak, you couldn't see the entrance from where we were sitting. A couple of young Caucasian guys who came in and ordered 5 roast chicken and 5 soy chickens! The staff wished each other Kung Hei Fatt Choi in Cantonese! :P

(恭喜发财 Kung Hei Fatt Choi is a blessing for prosperity, and a typical blessing on Chinese New Year.)

   

No wonder they now have 3 shops around town, including one in Toorak Road, South Yarra and Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.
