We've heard that the wontons were good at Easy East. It's not in the most interesting part of town, so we've never been able to make it there for lunch.
As expected, the wontons were filled with crunchy prawns and pork, flavoured with toasted dried flounder 左口鱼. The Cantonese-style fried noodles were good too, if a tad goopy for my liking.
The 北方饺子 Northern-style dumplings must have been made to order. They took a while to arrive, but they were steaming morsels of minced pork and Chinese cabbage. I would have prefered more Chinese cabbage to make it less stodgy, but they were good nonetheless.
All up, for AUD28.50. Great value, and one of our favourite local Chinese restaurants for dinner, and now lunch :)
