A buzzy cafe with simple breakfast options but quite interesting and colourful Middle Eastern and Mediterranean nibbles. Ok, so they call it "tapas", but you could easily call it mezze.
The brioche French Toast was good, but unremarkable despite the presence of luscious figs and smooth yoghurt. There was supposed to be a "dusting of sweet dukkah" and I didn't see.
The savoury nibbles on the other hand were quite fine. The presence of chutneys and relishes instead of tomato ketchup should set expectations quite high, and all of them met.
My only regret is that I didn't take photos of the colourful savoury display that ran half the length of the shop!
Chalk another on up for The Age Cheap Eats Guide 2006. Perhaps I should be thinking of the 2008 edition now :)
