Baked Moroccan Omelette with Haloumi, Tomatoes and Capsicums - New York Tomato

Baked Moroccan Omelette with Haloumi, Tomatoes and Capsicums - New York Tomato AUD12.90

There was a drizzle of sweet and sour pomegranate molasses which didn't really match the omelette. We both loved the chewy haloumi cheese inside too. Too bad the rest of the omelette wasn't that great, somewhere in between a steamed savoury egg custard and an omelette. It was kinda smooth and kinda fluffy, both of which I like individually.

Just trying out another place for breakfast before hitting Bridge Road for some outlet shopping.

As it turns out, it's nothing fantastic. We've tried coming here before in early January hoping for a spot of breakfast, but it was still closed for the holidays.

The food was good but nothing spectacular, possibly trying a bit too hard.

As I was paying the bill at the counter, the chef slapped down a delicious looking plate of Belgian waffles and I couldn't resist taking a photo of it, which was met with a snide remark from the chef of something along the lines of me trying to open a competing cafe down the road with his ideas. pfft. It looked good, but who couldn't pile a couple of waffles and slices of bananas with a drizzle of syrup and a dusting of icing sugar?

To be fair though, the rest of the waitstaff were very cheerful!
