Venomous Beauty - Arizona Coral Snake

Our only Elapid, Coral Snakes are generally small, and not prone to bite. However, it would be foolish to let one chew on you, out of curiosity. Drop for drop this snake has a very potent venom. Envenomation from a large specimen could be dangerous to the young, sick, and elderly. In rare cases, envenomation from a large specimen could also be dangerous to a healthy adult.
