It doesn’t take very long for cyclists to begin wondering” “How far did we ride today?” Another question often asked is “How far to the rest stop?” This little gizmo, a Cateye Mity will answer these questions. It can also tell you how fast you are going or your average speed for a ride. However, if you are riding for fun or fitness, the speed is less important than the time and distance. In fact, when I go out on training rides alone, I’m often not really interested in my average speed or my distance covered. I simply want to know how long I’ve ridden, as in “I need to get a good 3 hours in today from my training”.
This widget can keep track of that too. If you do an organized charity ride, like the MS events, this is all you will ever need. More sophisticated devices are available, some even incorporating a GPS unit, but this is all I need.
