This photo is my favorite of the series of three photos for the "frappe", which is a tighter cropping of the portrait oriented shot. The cropping here did just the thing it should: it crops off some of the proppings and a blow out highlight on left side. And it gives focus to what makes the frappe interesting: the structure of the ice cream, the little bubbles and the whipping cream. By cropping you also separate the frappe from the background more and this breaks the dominance of the back.

Aw! Thanks, Thorsten! :) That drink was a pain the butt to photo, though!! LOL!!! Getting that ice cream on the rim wasn't fun! Went to snap a pic and noticed a thumbprint and 2 little fingerprints into the ice cream where I had pushed it down to get it to stay. Well, knew that looked crappy! haha! So RAN into the kitchen to get a spoon to "fix it". Came running back in, and the cherry was gone! It had quickly sank to the bottom! Grrrr! Ran BACK into the kitchen to get another cherry, tore open the bottom and got it onto the rim....meanwhile the ice cream was melting and dripping all over my white linen napkin!! Hahahaha!!! BOY did I NEED that drink when I was done!!!!!!!!!!
