The word "Geschluckt" means "swallowed" in German. This tangle (the alternative version, which I developed first) reminded me of those knots of wet earth that earthworms leave behind after they swallow and digest the dirt in your garden (I think they digest it anyway).
I really have fun drawing this one. It does require a bit of thought as you decide how to connect the "paths", but I enjoy this as it makes it a bit like solving a puzzle (an easy puzzle). In Step 2 I wrote that you don't want to "dead end" into a circle. A path should stop at another path so that, theoretically, it can continue underneath it. The "circles" (or whatever shape they turn out to be) are negative space and a path ending there is simply cut off and can't continue.
However, I don't think the tangle would be ruined by that. It would probably not be noticeable, except to perfectionists, and we don't have any perfectionists tangling out there do we?LOL.
