Orange Derby Shopping Center
An iconic hat-tipping sign along New Haven Ave which connects major CT routes 8 to 15 (The Merritt Parkway) signified The Orange Derby Shopping Center.

Originally anchored by Zayre for a couple years, then Bridgeport, CT-based upscale department store Read's and later Jordan Marsh, accompanied by a small strip of stores.

In its latest days, the center was anchored by Kmart until it closed and had other smaller shops that had been operating for decades including Holiday House Cards & Gifts. Dunkin' Donuts and Burger King were later established outparcel.

In 2008, the site was completely demolished, now occupied by Lowe's Home Improvement.
