Dawn near Woods Hole
I got up at 5 AM to jump on a bike and head out to this point along the bike trail between Woods Hole and Falmouth. That old rotten pier had caught my attention the day before. So I get there about 15 minutes before sunrise just to realise that I foorgot my beanbag and my remote. The remote I can do without (although I discovered I couldn't use bulb mode without it), but the beanbag was annoying. I had to build little cairns of pebbles and rock to act as a stand. But I was rewarded. About 20 minutes after sunrise, the sun suddenly broke through the clouds and gave the stones this awesome golden sheen. The end picture is an HDR of two exposures,at F/13, respectively 20s and 30s (I was using an ND400 filter).
