- Breath of life -
Hi, dear Flickr friends.
I'm sorry for the absence, almost an abandonment of something I like so much, which is to enjoy your photos and the comments you make on mine.
Unfortunately, after more than 18 months of isolation and care, my husband and I became infected with Covid-19 right here in our building because an employee had to maneuver our car and unfortunately didn't know it had been contaminated.
This was two days before we traveled to my hometown, on my turn to keep my mother company.
In short, four people were contaminated in less than 24 hours. My husband tested positive and I tested negative, but I had already infected my mother, which shows that this disease has a much more threatening and terrible power than we can imagine. Later she infected my brother despite all the care of both of them.
We're all well but with sequelae, but I'm happy to know that the vaccine and good medical care saved our lives. As you would expect my mother, at 91 years old, she was the most damaged, but blessedly remains optimistic.
I hope to get back to Flickr but I will do it slower than usual. I still get tired easily, but for me the worst damage is in the mind, especially by knowing that I was the bearer of this terrible plague to innocent people like my loved mother and brother.
Thank you all for your understanding.
Please, keep taking care!
