Tangua Sunset

Tanguar Haor, is one of the largest water body in Bangladesh, in the north-eastern district of Sunamgonj, at the foothills of the Indian Meghalaya hills.

The haor is a collection of water basins created naturally with flowing rivers. Indeed Tanguar haor with its about 100 sq km or 10000 hectares looks like a vast sea as it swells in the monsoon.

During the winter months of November to March, this wetland transforms into one of the most amazing spectacles of nature, close to half a million birds converge in this place at different stages of migration.
