Noisy Friarbird

    Noisy Friarbirds are common visitors to the Canberra region from spring through to autumn. They are one of our larger honeyeaters and another common name for them is Leatherhead.

      Looks like it could have been a Yellow Box flower it was feeding from - do you know if it was?

      Could well be a Yellow Box, Matthew. It's a young tree in the grassy surrounds of the main carpark at the wetlands.

      Fabulous shot of a great bird. ...and the flowers!

      I remember noticing before they have a beautiful bib these birds, and this shows it better than any shot I've seen.
