New Zealand Birds

Hello everybody :)

In the last weeks I decided to build some birds from New Zealand for a small MOC-series on Instagram. From the left to the right you can see a Kea, a baby Kea, a Kiwi, a Pukeko, a baby Kakapo and a Kakapo.

In the beginning I only wanted to build a Kea, because during my holidays in New Zealand last year I saw some Keas on the Arthurs Pass and really enjoyed watching them, because they are very conifiding and funny birds.

I had a lot fun building the Kea, and after I finisihed building that parrot, I decided to build some more birds. Therefore I also made a Kiwi (which is a flightless bird and a national symbol in New Zealand), a Pukeko (which is a purple swamphen and can be seen very often on fields in New Zealand), and a Kakapo (which is a flightless parrot and critically endangered because there are only 154 birds left).

If you want to learn more about the birdlife in New Zealand, please take a look at that homepage (nzbirdsonline.org.nz/), there you can find many photos and informations :)

Thanks for watching :)
