Jon Haeber first picked up photography at the age of 16. His work has appeared in CollegeBound Magazine, National Geographic News, the Daily Californian, Amsterdam-based TED, and a high school Civics textbook. Inspired partly by his senior thesis for a Landscape Architecture course on the history of miniature golf, he's embarked on a project to catalogue abandoned structures across the West Coast.

    fallacious earth says:

"Jon has to be the most intrepid photographer I've met. He literally goes places where no one has gone before--at least not without authorization. The locations and images, though, are only part of why I appreciate Jon's work. His extensive research, as showcased in his blog, enlivens the abandoned locations he prefers, and helps place them in historical context."

    Simon Christen - iseemooi says:

"TunnelBug and I first met through flickrMail. And before we knew it, we bumped into each other on an exploration trip, by complete accident. He is not only a great photographer but definitively one of the friendliest explorer you will ever meet.
We had a great time exploring that day and I was fortunate enough to join him on some other trips. He knows tons about UE and I learned a lot from him. Thanks and keep up the good work!"

    Lost America says:

"One of the most active urban explorers on the west coast, a great shooter and all around good guy. The way he works access to places, he might actually be Spiderman . . ."
