Hello Flickr!

Constructive comments and criticisms are always appreciated, and I will usually return the favor. Please don't leave a big group icon or bling bling without any comments.

My first 35mm film camera was an old Konica, then a Canon AE1 Program, and usually Nikons after that. I still have an F100 and pull out a roll of expired film or chrome once in a while. Kodak Portra, Agfa or Fuji Velvia were my old favorites.

My first digital was a 2mp I think. First serious digital was the pro Nikon D2H. It seemed so huge, and the only thing that felt good in the hands. Funny, but I got into medium format film only after digital, when I saw an old Mamiya 645 Pro sitting in a window in Hong Kong with an 80mm f/1.9 attached (I still use this with an M42 adapter on digital). So I've used a variety of gear, including the Holgas and toy cameras.

I find myself going back to those old school roots with digital now, always on the lookout for old manual focus lenses to use for DSLR video. It sure is fun using those old lenses with modern cameras, nostalgic too. Things have come a long way only to go back to what was good in the first place, and sometimes now better. Seems like the past has finally caught up to the present. It's a good thing to, as the future seems quite expensive.

While I have a technical background, I'm also available for
written and PJ or similar assignments in the general SE Asia region. I'm passionate about travel, social documentary and event work.
