Inspired by peepshow booths and confessionals, Theatre for One is a space designed for one performer and one audience member with no barrier between them.

Theatre for One is a portable performing arts space for one performer and one audience member, that turns public events into private acts, making each performance a singularly intimate exchange.

For 10 days, Theatre for One will be in residence in Duffy Square, presenting magic, poetry, dance, puppetry and theatre pieces created specifically for his venue.

Open Hours are 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9pm. Weather Permitting.

Entrance inside the booth is on a first come first serve basis.

Theatre for One is presented by the Times Square Alliance Public Art Program. The Public Art Program is supported by the Rockefeller Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Theatre for One is made possible in part with public funds from the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Theatre for One is additionally supported by TRUE LOVE PRODUCTIONS.
