I like color.

I like mystery and ambiguity.

I like good stories.

I'm a writer, so I take pictures like a writer. Which is to say, not very well. But at least I get to write little stories with each.

    "This photostream is a refuge.
Chuck takes the tired and weary to his world...most notably, his enchanted backyard, a place of miniature menace as well as extraordinary revelations.
There is such a great range of work here, the impressive and always surprising output from a tireless and engaged mind."

"Chuck is smart, keen, witty and has an awesome cornucopia of brilliant pics! He continues to amaze and delight me. I look forward to LMAO with his humor. I anticipate a new dictionary someday - will be much more fun reading than Webster.

Chuck is the kind of guy who would make for a great neighbor, but he would probably be lurking around my fence. :-))))

You are a brilliant man with a keen vision and a great sense of humor, and superb shots as well! Keep up the amazing work.

And thanks for being a great friend!"

"Not really a spider despite the name. Curious he probably is though. Chuck's work demonstrates some of the most creative uses of the camera. He has this amazing ability to squeeze more performance out of that S80 than most. His unique perspective and great imagination produces captivating images that keep the viewer coming back for more. It can only be a good thing to be caught in this spider's web."

" When I first started to visit curious_spiders photostream, my first thoughts were to delete all of my photo's and start again! If his pictures have taught me anything, it is that you can make the smallest things look larger than life (or at least life size), and that you can make an everyday object seem like something completely unknown and new. I take my hat off to this man, he is one of the greats and a true inspiration to me. Oh, and I did I mention that his little stories are damned good too? It's an honour to e-know you sir!"

"My first testimonial has to go to: Curious Spider
The man behind the legend... in fact... the dog!
In reality, the author has been a pseudonym machinated by -Tai-, his crazy taco terrier who is the actual machiavellic architect behind all the ingenious and wildly amusing stories found all over this photostream.
However human or not, you surely are before a celebrity's masterpiece. Feast your eyes on it and awe!"

"Curious Spider's unique brand of photography has opened my eyes to a world previously invisible to me, those thousands of tiny worlds that exist all around us but that none of us see. His amazing macro work, combined with his extraordinarily sharp wit make visiting his site so much fun.

    Keep it up dude!"

    Christopher Chan says:

"There are three things that I really enjoy about Chuck's photography and this really sets him apart from the many other talented photographers in Flickr. The first is the eclectic nature of his subjects. This is a great thing as you never know what to expect from Chuck's photostream. The second is Chuck's mastery of macro photography. His macro photos amaze me everytime.

Lastly and perhaps most importantly Chuck is such a great entertainer. Chuck always manages to weave in a wacky and funny narrative to go with his photos.

Chuck - keep doing what you're doing as you doing great !"
