This is one of my arts, born out of a need to expose tiny slices of my vision to you. If you enjoy my work then we have shared something, and together experienced our human nature. If you do not enjoy my work, well, that's human nature too.

I first picked up an SLR camera in March 2005, after shooting with a pocket-sized digicam for a year. My camera by fortune was a film SLR, a Contax.

Being "slr", I used to feel some duty to share the technical details of the tools I'm enjoying; nowadays I feel the tools are not so important.

If I took a good picture of you, please go ahead and save a copy of
the original.

Co-admin of the vandigicam group,

"His photos have a real human quality to them - they're personal, and that is what distinguishes them among so many impersonal snapshots. Seeing the world through Ben's eye(s) is always exciting, interesting, and shows me a world I would be sorely missing out on otherwise. Portraits by Ben are a real favourite of mine."

"ya know what? I should have written this a long time ago... Ben is one of those people who, although I don't know him well, I'm always happier when he shows up. That's even when he is staying earth-bound. He also has been such a mainstay (one of several) for this group, and especially in hosting parties...

    Love you, Ben!!"
