I moved to the Isle of Skye in 2006 where there are so many opportunities for photography, and the light is just fantastic. I love traveling so take any opportunity I get. In 2005/6 I travelled around the world from the USA, to New Zealand. I've a blog called Postcards from Skye which I add to irregularly and a new website Shirley Grant Photography.

"Shirley has swiftly become revered as 'Queen of the Gloaming' in the Scotland in the Gloaming group for her unfailingly breathtaking Isle of Skye twilight landscapes. But there's so much more to her photostream than Scottish sunsets and she brings locations all around the world into vivid focus with a sense of panorama, whether its a dramatic vista or the smallest flower petal she is capturing. I am regularly enthralled by her photographs. Cumail an ard e Shirley ;o)"

"How could I be rude or nasty to someone I worked closely with for so many years!!
After many years of telling anybody who would listen about how much she would love a job in the Isles of Scotland she has finally been granted her wish.
No doubt her blog and the rest of her work will showcase the wonderful scenery and culture of this beautiful part of Scotland and I'd recommend anybody to link to the site to find out more about God's Garden. It's just a pity he gave us such terrible neighbours!!!"
