My love has always been media, whether that equates to Photo, Design, Music, Arts, etc., I’ve always been drawn too, by and/or a creative nature, notably images. Photography found me in high school, as did other rewarding commitments and aspirations. Fast forward and, well, I’ve taken flight.

To most I’m probably the furthest thing from what one would come to view as a “photographer”; my schooling for the most part has been self exploratory, study, and envy of others, truth be told my sheer ignorance of the medium from the onset is largely what has allowed me to excel as I fixated myself with capturing “what I liked” not “what perfect composition should be” per se.

For the past fifteen years I’ve lived, breathed and immersed myself in what is likely if not one of the fastest, rapid and ever changing industries — Technology Software. However; and to this day I’m still taken aback by not only riveting, but captivating images as well. Like seeing a sale through from point “A” to “B” I’m still amazed how something so simplistic in its rawest of form “a picture” can incite emotion whatever the spectrum while capturing history and chronicling a moment at the same time.

I’ve never been one to follow conventional thought or adhere to the mentality of their only being one way to go about something, further I’m completely detoured by “what if’s” and “what if” stories for that matter.

For me that “what if” was starting to photograph again some four or five years ago. For those who know me well on the sales side know very well I’m meticulous when it comes to detail with the utmost desire for perfection and satisfaction. Be it a 5k account or half-a-million dollar deal, if fifteen years of sales has taught me anything it’s these lessons:

1. Always expect the un-expected

2. Setting expectations is the benchmark of relationships

3. Never settle

With that said, welcome to Shawn Litvack Photography! Here’s to seeing you on the other side (of the lens!)
