My first camera was a 35mm manual Zenit that I hauled round town at night with a fast film taking photos of street life in the East Midlands. I now have a Nikon D700 I use for 'photographic' outings, including some sports photography, and a Panasonic GX9 that I bought for other outings, street photography, and travel. Still looking for my perfect lenses, but I have come close with the new Sigma 10-20, which is a lot of fun.
