I was very impressed when I discovered Robert's pictures and even more as I realized that Robert lives in a village where I spent many years in my childhood. Robert lives a few yards from the house of my grandparents in that beautiful village in the south-west of France. My grandparents unfortunately are gone a long time ago but the village remains as beautiful as it was, and even more beautiful I would say, since some English people have bought old houses and have renovated them in a wonderful way like Robert did with his house. Charente would not be the same without these new inhabitants who maintain the cultural heritage and show it to the entire world. Each time I go to Charente, far from being unhappy I am grateful!

He has a great sense of composition and light. He also is very kind to take the time to look at other people's photographs and leave thoughtful comments about them. Robert is one of Flickr's best !!!
