10,000 Portraits -

Photography is nothing but capturing light and exposing it on film or a sensor. Yet it is the perfect canvas where I am able to capture moments that randomly stream into our visual consciousness. This is the playground in which I have chosen to interact; between our environment, its people, and the elements that fuse together in a way that is unique, special, and beautiful. It’s about freezing time for a fraction of a second and capturing the one moment that no one will ever see or reproduce ever again. I love the capturing the remarkable situation in everyday life, within the mundane, there lies beauty, truth, and justice. Whether it’s pointing the lens at friends or total strangers, the camera always evokes a sense of curiosity, reaction, and trepidation. Sometimes the subject breaks into a smile, and other times into a threatening glare, either way, it’s totally random, beautiful, and unrepeatable. It’s life.

ABOUT ME: The details of my life are quite inconsequential.... Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a 15-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize; he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes, he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament... My childhood was typical: summers in Rangoon... luge lessons... In the spring, we'd make meat helmets... When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds — pretty standard, really. At the age of 12, I received my first scribe. At the age of 14, a Zoroastrian named Wilma ritualistically shaved my testicles — there really is nothing like a shorn scrotum — it's breathtaking... I suggest you try .
