I have been an Ottawa resident for most of the last 70 years. I've been married to my lovely wife for 48 years. We met at Carleton University here in Ottawa and got married in third year.

I have been an avid SLR photography buff since my late teens owning a Pentax Spotmatic camera. In 2001 I bought my first Nikon digital camera, a Coolpix 990 with 3.24 megapixels (for $2000!!!) and got hooked. In October 2012 I bought a Panasonic FZ200 mega-zoom bridge camera which is truly amazed me with what it could do. It also got me hooked on wildlife and nature photography and 8 months later bought a Nikon D7100. Two years later I upgraded to a Nikon D7200 and in 2020 I bought a Nikon D500.

My wife and I owned a home-based computer graphics and web design business for many years while also serving in Christian ministry for the last 40 years as pastors and Christian workers here in Canada and overseas.

I play the guitar, love being out in the woods and landscape painting. I was an avid Brook Trout fisherman for much of my life and never met a trout I didn't like.
