Retired Physician, I now live in South Florida and migrate to Chicagoland when it's not too cold there. Digiscoped backyard birds in New Mexico, and received a gift of an old Canon Rebel digital SLR, bought a long lens and started photographing birds in April, 2008. Still have a lot to learn (like reading the camera manual and remembering what it says). In 1999, as a USFS volunteer, initiated a rosy-finch feeding program at Sandia Crest, New Mexico, and I now follow rosy-finch banding and research on my Web site.

Lately have been advocating for the protection of a neighborhood Bald Eagle nest in Broward County, Florida, the first since DDT was abolished in the 1970s.

"I had the absolute pleasure of finding my cousin Ken through our love of geneology... and in turn have met some amazing family members that I would not have otherwise met... and then to find out we share the love of photography was just the icing on the cake... I find such joy in his photos and they all seem to be made for National Geographic... truly an inspiration!!!"
