    Rog Whitfield says:

"Rob's personal images as posted on Flickr express a hard-won synthesis of intellect and emotion, and have great integrity. They may include darkness, but also act as refuge from all that's glib and facile. If he explores a photographic technique, it won't be to show it off, but to bend it to his purpose. He has a resolute voice."

"I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of nice bright landscape shots, it takes a lot for me to stop and take interest in such a shot. But for some reason Rob manages it every time. Not to say Rob's just a landscape man, take a moment to explore his stream and there's a huge variety on offer here from documentary, to night shots to some fabulous landscapes (i draw the line at flowers though :p). And having been fortunate enough to see the great man in action (taking photos!) it's excellent to see how he can picture a scene where normally we see the mundane, and yet he manages to transform it with such ease.

May he keep on providing us with such wonderful eye candy for many years to come.

    Thanks Rob."
