I started to photograph birds as a hobby from around October 2012. It all started on my backyard, one day I was looking for something to photograph and decided to try and shoot a few birds that were around my house; more specifically a couple of our local Grand Cayman Parrots. From there on I got interested in bird photography and purchased my first zoom lens the Nikon 70-300mm. I have since upgraded my gear as I go but the learning curve always stays. No matter how much you think you know there is always something new to try or learn in wildlife photography, not always necessarily about how to take photos but you learn more about the different species you photograph as you go on.

One of the main questions I get asked when people see my photos is "was that taken here?”. Considering how small the Cayman Islands is (102 sq. miles - 3 islands), people always goes by unaware of the variety of species that migrate and reside here.
