I like taking pictures, something I discovered while in Japan. I earlier stated that I was a 'point and shoot' photographer, but I actually discovered I also like setting the pics (i.e. self portraits). I'm also a regular Photoshop user (shame on me? naaaa, I like it that way!) to edit my pics.

I'm certainly a beginner, poorly equipped with a Canon IXY50. I'd love to upgrade my equipment but I keep spending my savings on travelling (and my research at university; man, those books are expensive!). I started to upload the first kind of serius pictures on my fotolog last year, while I was also a member of flickr. I started to be more active in flickr this year when I decided to upgrade to a pro account. I'm hardly uploading at fotolog these days.

Originally from a South American country, I currently live in Japan, sponsored by the Japanese government to pursue further education on marketing (brand management). Definitely, I'm thrilled about the experience.

Regarding Flickr, I don't know about you guys, but I've became kind of addicted to it. But it, without question, helped to discover myself a little more and allowed me to explore the dormant creative and artistic side inherited from my mom. The self portrait creations have surely contributed to that. Sometimes I try to be more creative, other times I want to capture a feeling or a memory. I found in Flickr the source of inspiration to let this creative side emerge. I love being inspired by the talented photographers on this site.

Feel free to comment on my pics. I'm eager to read constructive feedback. All my pictures will be better appreciated on LCD monitors.
