I am an event and macro/landscape photographer based in Utrecht, The Netherlands - if I have to summarize, I can say that all I photograph is nature and science!

While I always loved natural subjects, my experience with event photography comes from my years as a PhD student. While working in academia I had the opportunity to attend many scientific events; I discovered that besides doing research, I liked to witness the scientific debate with my camera, capturing the enthusiasm and dedication of the people who introduce innovative ideas into the research community. I realized that pictures are a powerful tool to engage both scientists and non-scientists; eventually, I decided to use my photography to stimulate public outreach, from small events to large-scale conferences.
