Antropólogo, doctor por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Trabajo desde 1985 como documentalista en Televisión Española (TVE), donde he sido responsable del departamento de documentación de TVE Temática S.A., y coordinador y programador del Canal Docu TV. Presido la Asociación Eleusis (AE) (www.asociacioneleusis.es), una entidad sin ánimo de lucro orientada a la investigación, formación y divulgación relacionada con los estados de consciencia. A partir de 2018 iniciaré los cursos de formación de la AE, en los que se abordará el estudio de la consciencia desde una perspectiva antropológica.

 

Santiago López-Pavillard has a PhD in anthropology with his thesis “Life as a process of healing: shamanic practices of the upper Amazon around the ayahuasca in Spain” (2015). Founding member and coordinator of the Thematic Group Anthropology of

Religion and Spirituality (ARESIMA) of the Madrid Institute of Anthropology. President of the Eleusis Association, a non-profit

organization oriented to research, training and dissemination related to states of consciousness His main lines of research

are upper Amazon shamanic practices, spiritual practices in general, Buddhism, and traditional Tibetan medicine. Since 2006 he is doin

g fieldwork in Spain, Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. Since 1985 he is working as a documentalist in Televisión Española (TVE), where he was responsible for the Documentation Department of TVE Temática S.A., and coordinator and programmer for the DocuTV Channel.
