I have had a love of photography ever since I got my first camera for my 3rd birthday. It was one of those plastic Fisher-Price toy cameras with a yellow flash that spun around when you pressed the shutter and a lens that actually turned. Here it is:
1st picture using "Bella" of my very 1st camera My parents said I loved that camera and was always taking people's pictures. I still have the camera today, where it sits in its own special spot.

Here I am at three:

My equipment has changed over the years (thank goodness) but my passion for photography has only grown. I love to try and capture something special in my photos - a moment, an expression, an emotion, color or light.

Live fully in the present moment. You miss out on seeing so many beautiful things when you're thinking about the past or worried about the future. You can only live fully right now.

Some things I love:
-traveling the world
-the sound of children laughing
-the lime green color of spring
-unconditional love
-the first warm day after a long winter
-the smell of freshly mowed grass
-long walks in the woods
-a good book
-watching the sunset
-the smell of rain

I believe we are "One World" and we are all connected. I believe in Karma. The thoughts, emotions and actions that you send out into the world will come back to you tenfold. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But someday. If we treated everyone like we treat our own loved ones, the world would be a much different place. I believe we can all make a difference. No act of kindness is too small.

I would love to get your comments and critiques. If you leave a comment, I will do my best to view your photos and leave a comment for you, as well.

I have taken a lot of inspiration from here and its one of the best on flickr!
I love the attention to detail and the tones (which is close to what I have adopted)
Michele is a great contact and I look forward to much more magic from her!
    Sit back and enjoy!!!"

"Michele's work caught my eye some time ago and it's been a real delight following her photographic journey. When I stumbled upon her stream, I found myself immediately drawn to how refreshingly different it was to my own. Michele is able to tell a story in a photo, I have often found myself drifting off into thought after looking at one of her photographs. This is a real talent, and one that needs to be appreciated. I think Michele's other talent is her ability to use light and tone in her work to the benefit of her considered compositions.

All the best to you Michele! :-)"

"Michele is such sweet and lovely person who has a such tremendous gift
for finding beauty, light and warmth in the world around her.

The lovely beauty she finds, always has such a comforting feel
about it, inviting not only the eyes in to enjoy its loveliness but the
senses too. Making her beautiful photography, not only seen but felt.

Her marvelous talent knows no boundaries either, as the beautiful knittings
and lovely writings she shares with us shows.
As they are just as comforting and cozy as her photographs.

She is such a beautiful friend to me and I see her light and kindness
shine for others too. Making her not only an incredible talent here on Flickr
but a most lovely and encouraging contact also..

Thank you dear Michele, for sharing such beauty and words with us.. xo"

"I look forward to seeing Michele's posts, knowing that each one will be distinctive, whether it is a beautiful object, a magical natural scene, a moment captured in time, or a new view of an everyday item … Michele's photos and the accompanying text tell us a lot about the kind of person she is as well as her values. These same qualities are reflected in her comments to others—always thoughtful, constructive, and most generous. I greatly value having her as a contact."

"Michele is amazing person full of vibrance. Her photos are an echo a beauty of the person that she is. Despite the breathlessness that I am left with from her images I am even more taken by her gentle spirit and thoughtful comments. I am often humbled by her caring words and the sincere comments that she leaves. Not only does she seem to care about me, but she also seems to be omniscient. She seems to know every single person on flickr which is honestly no small feat. She never ceases to amaze me though!

I am absolutely stunned by her photographic abilities, but even more amazed at her fortitude. I feel so much empathy for her as she struggles through the challenges of life, but despite this is able to pull out the essence of life and find joy in the small things. The details of our lives are often the most beautiful parts and I can see many of them in Michele's photostream. I can sense that she has an inner strength that is displayed throughout her work and postings. I would say that despite only being connected by the flickr that I would consider her a genuine friend that truly cares. I hope I can only live up to her amazing traits.

Michele...The beauty of your work and spirit gives me a daily hope to enjoy life to its fullest! Thank you for all that you are!"
