I grew up in suburban New Jersey and attended college in Boston. I have since lived in the SF Bay Area, the Washington DC area, Manhattan, Brooklyn, then Sunnyside, Queens, and most recently, Burlington Vermont with my lovely wife our dog Guinness, and cat Zoe. I love to travel. I've been to about 21 countries on four continents and can't wait to see more.

I've been taking pictures on the more serious side for about 15 years now, on and off. I started with a fully manual Pentax Spotmatic and then K-1000 and developed and printed all my own work when the facilities were available. Since then I've gone digital, and I mostly shoot with my Nikon D300 and D80 and occasionally with a Lomo Fisheye or a plastic Holga, or vintage Argus.

My work tends to focus on urban and rural decay, simple scenes that feel lonely, but retain a feeling that a person isn't too far away. Honestly I generally don't go in for all that pretentious naval-gazing when talking about my photographs. Generally I just like to take pictures of cool scenes that happen to catch my eye.

"eric was one of my earliest contacts, and one of the first peeps i got to know outside of the flickrverse. and he is, quite simply, FABULOUS. he's smart and funny and talented and can make art out of anything he points his camera at. he's also passionate about the world around him -- and he has the guts to speak out, unlike most of us. hell, he's one of my favorite humans, and i haven't even met him. (yet.)

now if only the dude would post more often... cos, dang!"
