I have to the photography I was passionate about at 8 years old. At 14, I was invited toI studied with Minor White at the Portland Art Museum Summer program and continued to study with him for three summers. He was the Zen guru of master photographers. He taught a meditative way of seeing and photographing as well as making the print.
I went to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and went into commercial photography, publicity, and photojournalism. I went into digital video and photo work and found a deep love of non-linear HD video editing. I now do multi-media shows and character photos.
Thanks to Flickr, my love for photography and the joy of just shooting for fun has returned, inspired by the amazing photos here.

"butter in the sun".... I am surprised that you have few testimonials!! I first met you through the FABRIC / TEXTILE "ART" group. I loved your work but I needed to make a decision about whether your work belonged to the group. The traditional aspect of textile art meant... "quilters" or artists that worked in a "Stitchery" or "Woven" field. You work in a different relm but your photographs could be translated into haut couture designs... with abundent jewels emblazoned on them. You tested the boundaries and I accepted and approved the test! I have never regretted this decision ..... your work has a 3D - textural quality that I LOVE and I look forward to every new addition from you to Flickr.
